A small change in design can really save nine

A simple change to the design of the gallon milk jug, adopted by Wal-Mart and Costco, seems made for the times. The jugs are cheaper to ship and better for the environment, the milk is fresher when it arrives in stores, and it costs less.

This is what our desperation has driven us to. But yes small changes would go a long way in making some difference - somewhere, somehow. The square jug looks kinda gawky and unwieldy but when it comes to all round advantages, it seems to be on the right track.
