Here I am in barcamp Delhi in Impetus office, filled with geeks and artist or as I love to call them ‘arteek’.
It has not even started properly and already the comfortable level between participants is real cool. People are down on the ground, literally.
The interesting point is that most of the people are coming for the first time. The group, I think I call them that now, is as varied as it could. Everybody at least have one thing in common , everybody is here to learn from other in some way or the other. We not only have bloggers or web-techies but also a lawyer , a student from high school, few government employees, a textile mill owner , some people looking for venture capitalist, people looking for uber-geeks for their company, and many many more.
The first presentation is given by Navjot about his company GuruGeeks.net, a community for people who are really passionate about Web Standards, Accessibility and Usability. He has only started it two weeks back, that too in Bangalore Barcamp. The website is its inception, but with a zeal and passion inspired from CSS Eleven, W3C, the Multi Pack, Web Standards projects, Media 07, SXSW , Web 2.0 expo, FOWD, D-Construct, Barcamps and many more.
The next presentation is by programmers working on ruby on rails, interested in Amazon Simple storage services, Capistrano. Technical, so I am totally out of words, but anyway it sounded good
I will post as early as possible about other presentations and other happenings in arcamp.
