It has been just few days since I have started using internet in real sense, being online daily for more than 4 hours, and already I have started having problems.
Please don’t judge me as some luddite or anti-technology who wish to live in their caves.
I am a normal, I think so, guy who likes friends and movies, and also books sometimes. Using net must be also normal for me. But multi-tasking is not my cup of tea.
My attention-span has dived even below the base, even before I start reading something I get occupied with other topics. Maybe my being born under the zodiac sign of Gemini has to do something with it. Of course, having many friends online has led to many pummmp-pummp sounds coming from gmail forcing you to go to that window even before you have finished reading a paragraph ( I had to go to that window more than four times to finish this sentence) , then mails take some of the left-over time and after that the rest of time is taken away by the orkut-scraps and facebook applications which keeps you asking movies, crushes, and everything in which you have an iota of interest. Over all this you have to search for your projects and studies. Now how can anyone blame me if I flunk so much?
I really don’t have any way out then hoping that some geek can make a virus or software which would take away the freedom from me to shift so easily from one window to other window. I think humans do need some authority over them always, why not how much postmodernist censure such thoughts.
